Prison & Resettlement
Depaul UK runs a number of programmes to help young people adjust to life after prison and offers them intensive support and guidance to help reduce the chances of re-offending.
Our Outside Link schemes work with young offenders to help them find housing on release. Support continues through the gate and into the community to help young people access other services and get into training, employment or volunteering. We work with a number of Young Offenders Institutes and are based inside HMYOI Brinsford, HMYOI Rochester, HMP YOI ISIS and HMYOI Deerbolt.
In Rochdale, Greater Manchester our Outside Link Rochdale programme works with a number of prisons to resettle ex-offenders returning to the local area.
We also run structured One to One Mentoring programmes in London and Newcastle that offer young people the support and guidance of a local volunteer mentor during their time inside prison and after their release.
Our Women's Community Project, in partnership with women@thewell works with vulnerable and at risk women in North London to divert them from custody and engage them in pro-social activities.
