Reconnect London
Reconnect is a mediation service for homeless young people and their families. It aims to avert young people aged 12-25 away from crisis point by providing trained mediators to help families rebuild relationships. Where appropriate it will assist a young person to return home, or to remain at home pending a planned move in the future. The projects also work to reduce repeat homelessness by enabling young people to strengthen their support networks and access local services relevant to their needs. The service is available to homeless young people and works closely with hostels, supported housing providers, and specialist agencies, including Connexions and the Youth Offending Teams to reach over 400 young people each year.
Our Reconnect London service was part of the London Metropolitan University's Research into Early Intervention. Download the report here.
