Outside Link Brinsford

Outside Link helps young and adult prisoners to secure accommodation prior to release from prison and aims to ensure no person leaving the prison service does so without a forwarding address to go to. The role of the worker is to engage the prisoner in a one to one working relationship to look at all aspects of resettlement planning and to assist the prisoner to recognise where things go wrong, with a view to putting together a plan of action to enable them to implement positive change.

It also aims to set up support networks into the community where they will be living on their release.
