Oldham Reconnect

Reconnect Oldham is a mediation service for homeless young people and their families. It aims to prevent young people, aged 15-25, from reaching crisis point by providing a trained mediator to help families rebuild relationships, including offering parenting support. Where appropriate it will assist a young person to return home, or to remain at home pending a planned move in the future. The project also works to reduce repeat homelessness by enabling young people to strengthen their support networks and access local services relevant to their needs. The service is available to homeless young people and works closely with the local authority, hostels, supported housing providers and specialist agencies, including Connexions and the Youth Offending Teams.
