Baseline
Baseline provides mentoring support for young people aged 16-24 years in the Newcastle area who are making the transition into independence. Fully trained and committed volunteer mentors come from a variety of backgrounds and of all ages. The mentors provide one to one support for young people which involves meeting up regularly and assisting the young person with whatever issues they are facing. This could involve going to appointments, help with budgeting, accessing other services or simply listening. The project also provides opportunities for young people to take part in fun activities with their mentors. Young people are referred by any organisation they are already engaged with and together with the referrer, provide high quality, regular support over a six month period.
