"The run up to my 21st birthday is a bit of a blur- my 21 milestone found me knuckling down to a fairly conventional lifestyle, apart from the off duty and non lecture times when me and my mates continued to behave somewhat foolishly, some might say. However, what I did have was stability, and if I got on I was pretty much assured of a job, income and possibly my own gaff, if I wanted it, but most importantly life choices that I had control over.
So 21 saw me buffeted by the demands of the mentally unwell in Camberwell environs, but having regularly stoked up the Student Union Bar on the Brunel Campus and experienced life on the Uxbridge Road I think you can say I was prepared for anything!
Luck, karma or aspiration I somehow got where I am today and recognise how important it is for all 21 turners to have the same opportunties to realise their potential and have a good life."
